The Accueil des Villes Françaises St Jean D'Angely (AVF) is an assocation, run by volunteers, that welcomes new residents to the St Jean area. In May, its choir hosted a festival for nine other AVF choirs in the Salle d'Aquitaine in St Jean. A great day was enjoyed by everyone, with some lovely music and a 'bon repas'. The culmination was a combined choirs performance of "Chanter" on the steps of the Marie followed by a reception, hosted by the mayor.
